Logitech Wireless Desktop MK 300 Review
I almost refused the delivery of this item when I ordered it because I misread the product information page, and thought it was compatible with MAc OS X. The product information claims it is not, but it works 100% fine with my Mac running Snow Leopard 10.6.4. I have not tested older versions of Mac OS X.
Mac users looking for a cheap wireless solution should look no further than the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK300. Normally I dislike wireless products like this because in the past they used to be horrible. The mouse would skip and lag, but not on this one. The mouse is super-responsive an does not have any lag or noticeable jitter. The mouse takes 2 AA batteries but oddly enough will operate with just 1 AA battery installed (on the left side).
The keyboard is whisper quiet and also works great. When you first plug it into your Mac and connect the keyboard, you will get the standard "Unknown Keyboard" setup assitant that you get with any non-apple keyboard. Simply follow the instructions on the screen and you will be up and running in less than 10 seconds. As with any other non-apple keyboard, the Windows Key is the Command Key (), and Alt is the Option Key ().
All-in-all this was an excellent purchase and I am happy to finally be wireless, so that I can use my Mac Mini with my 42" TV without having wires run across the floor.
I would recommend this product to anyone (Mac or PC) who wants a simple, affordable, quality wireless desktop.

I bought this for Pop's last Christmas. - Dave Star - C.G. Minnesota, USA
I got this for my Dad last Christmas. Since he still was using the original keyboard, witch had crumbs and nasty looking stuff all over it LOL This one is a bit more user friendly and I bought it as an upgrade for him. It has short cut keys and is wireless of course. Also has a few media buttons as well. So if you know some one who still has and is using the original wired keyboard this is a good gift/upgrade for them if they don't like it something is wrong with them take it back and keep it for your self... I would, LOL
Piece of garbage!!!!! Save your money!!!! - D. Moore - Chattanooga, TN
I previously owned a Microsoft keyboard and wireless mouse, that product lasted for years and I loved it. Eventually the connectors in the mouse went bad. I was looking for an economical way out as I do not spend all my time on the computer, so I bought this product which was the most reasonably priced. I have had it less than 4 months and all I can say is that it is a total piece of garbage and a total waste of my money. Half the time the keys do not work, when they do they work fine for a while then start sticking or not working. I tried to write this review on the keyboard and had to respell GARBAGE no less than 16 times. Finally I slammed the thing in the floor and broke it! I am now using all the ports on my computer to have my old keyboard and the mouse from the new keyboard in another. I went through countless batteries in the 4 months I used it, changing the batteries is a very brief and temporary solution. AMAZON, please take this piece of trash off your website! I have always been happy with everything I have bought from you, but believe me this product is garbage and will do you more harm than good to sell.
Great product for the price - Brian -
For the price you can't get a better wireless keyboard/mouse combo. Basic features with a few nice keyboard shortcuts including an app switcher similar to OS X Expose.
