Check Out 2.4GHz Tiny Wireless Keyboard (Built-in TouchPad/Laser Pointer) - Black

2.4GHz Tiny Wireless Keyboard (Built-in TouchPad/Laser Pointer) - Black Review

I have two of these, both are the Rii Mini version, one silver and one black. I am absolutely in love with them. Here are a few main things that make these remote keyboards such a unique and effective product:

1) Size- This thing is very small and practical for travel. Even being the smallest wireless keyboard in existence, the buttons are still fairly large and easy to press.

2) User-friendlyness- The instructions are not great, but most everything is intuitive. Make sure to charge the battery fully before use and read theough the instructions still, certainly, but it is not difficult to use whatsoever. The keyboard is layed out very intuitively (necessary for its small size!), and allows you to control things like multimedia with extreme ease, just like using a remote for a television. To get the unit working in the first place, (after charging completely!), you simply find the dongle (the small USB wireless receiver integrated into handset), pull it out of the handset and plug it into the computer's USB port, and being plug-and-play, it will install the driver automatically. As soon as this happens, you're good to go! This brings me to my next point, because you will now be navigating the screen the with the the great...

3) Touchpad! The touchpad is simply not available on most competing designs and furthermore, the touchpad is perfectly sensitive. You can turn up the mouse speed up or down slightly to make it easier for you to get around, but it is very responsive to your finger movements (I use my thumb... I disagree with a previous poster's who said that this was not possible... I find that the thumb is by far the easiest and fastest way to use the touchpad.)

4) Backlighting- This unit has backlighting behind the keys which enables easyuse in dark conditions. Many other keyboards to not have this function.

5) Laser Pointer- This is extremely useful if you are using the remote to control a computer that is being broadcast on a larger screen such as in a business meeting. It is very handy when trying to point out things that are far away from you and the remote.

All in all, this thing is wonderfully made. If you have the need for a remote-type keyboard for multimedia, presentations, or many other tasks that do not require direct contact with a full keyboard and mouse (typing a paper, for example). You can type decent amounts of text with this thing in no time, but obviously you will want a full-sized keyboard too if you are to be doing large amounts of typing.

5 stars from me! If you need something with a full size keyboard so you can touch-type, this is not the wireless keyboard for you. If you need more of a remote to control your computer and type smaller amounts of text from a range, than this product is absolutely what you are looking for.

Unwireless Keyboard w/ touchpad & laser pointer - Micklex Viped - Federal Way, WA USA
I give this device marks right down the middle to average out its pros and cons. The idea is great, 4 or 5 stars for that, the design of the keyboard, touchpad, etc. is good, 4 stars or so, but the implementation is problematic, I give it one star for that.
Implementation is the correct word for that in the sense that if it doesn't work upon receiving it- it obviously can't be implemented. I could tell that the keyboard itself would charge and start up with no problems, but the dongle for wireless connectivity would not function whatsoever.
I give it one star for functionality as well, as I couldn't put it through it's paces, but it looked like it would function well.
In short, it's a good thing I purchased it through Amazon, because at least I could return it with the minimum fuss.

It's awesome - Alex -
But the touch pad is a lil annoying. You have to run your finger across the touch pad probably twice as much as the average laptop touch pad to get the cursor where you want it.

Its a great product though, very sleek and sexy. Impresses guests who come over because I have mine in the living room with a mac that is set up as part of my home stereo system.

Not worth it. - Rodrigo -
There more options at the market better than this one.
1. It only works for few hours and if you forget to turn it off, thats it.
2. It lose connection after 5 minutes or even less.
3. The keyboard came with some letters mixed son you dont know it you are typing the "C" or the "V" (for example)
