Check Out Apple Wireless Keyboard (Retail Packaging) for $49.99

Apple Wireless Keyboard (Retail Packaging) Review

I just purchased an IPad and it became quickly apparent that the virtual keyboard that is available on the IPad screen was not going to work easily for me because of the amount of typing that I have to do.

I looked over several reviews of this unit as well as some collapsable models but decided finally to go with the Apple Wireless Keyboard mainly because of its availability AND the generally positive responses found in many reviews.

THE KEYBOARD:
The Positive:
1.)The unit is very light weight with dimensions of 11 inches long and 5 inches wide and an amazing 1/8 of an inch thick (except for the end that holds the 2 x AA batteries, where it blossoms (lol) to 3/4 of an inch.
2.)In actual fact this 'swelling' provides just the right amount of tilt to allow a proper angle for your hands and fingers. The keys themselves are about the size of chicklets and have a nice solid feel when pressed and released.
3.)The keyboard shuts itself off when not in continual use...thus extending battery life.

One possible negative;
1.)Although not a concern for me, some users may miss the grouping of number keys that are normally found on the right side of most keyboards, but you still have access to numbers that are found just above the QWERTY keyboard.

SETUP:
It came with batteries installed!! I simply turned on the keyboard (small button on the other end from where you insert the batteries), then I went to my IPad>settings>general>bluetooth and turn ON this function. It found my keyboard immediately, asked me to type in a number on the keyboard, and that was it...DONE in less the 1 minute.

CONCLUSION:
A handy, portable keyboard...small and light enough to easily pack in a small suitcase or handbag (if you want to use your IPad in transit).
Works beautifully with my new IPad. 5 Stars.

Another keyboard winner from Apple - Misty Matonis - new york, ny
I purchased this keyboard as a companion to my iPad. My older bluetooth Apple keyboard, which I've had for a few years, would not synch with the iPad. This one is perfect. Like previous models, typing is an exquisite experience. The keys are perfect for my fingers. It is lightweight, taking only two AA batteries that last quite a while. The keyboard is small enough for easy portability. It also works great with my old Macbook Pro as well. Definitely recommended, whether you use OS X or iOS products or not.

Works for Windows 7 - Dan -
I wanted a light, nice looking wireless keyboard. This does the trick. Connected easily using Windows 7. Obviously no number pad or Delete/PgUp/PgDn/End keys, but that's not too big of a deal.

The Perfect Keyboard - ben_r_ - Sacramento, CA USA
I LOVE this keyboard! For years I have always hated the additional 10-key keys on the right side of a normal keyboard. It just made no sense to me since it forces you to shift the entire keyboard to the left so that you have room to use your mouse! I like the spacebar of a keyboard to be centered with the display, but when using a keyboard with a 10-key on it thats never the case. Combine that with the excellent feel to the keys, the slim, metal body, and the great battery life this is literally the perfect keyboard for me! Its also got all the media, dashboard and spaces controls I need on it as well! I have been looking for a keyboard like this for the PC FOREVER! Closest I have come is the newer Microsoft Arc, which I own, but its not nearly as nice and the "arc" feature isnt the best design.
